    Fico Scores

    Weird thing:

Just after filing, 8/29/2008 my Fico's went down 20 points roughly.

It's been over a month and my scores have increased 30 points, what is that all about???

    Is it just an aberation??

    341 9/26- Pacer still doesn't show anything

That is crazy. If I had to guess it's because you don't have late payments dragging down your score anymore?

If I weren't so chicken I'd go check mine. Well that and I'm broke right now. lol

I did the free trial at truecredit.com. You sign up for free trial, but have to cancel before 30 days I think before they charge you. I used a debit card

It is too early for your BK to show up in your credit report. The fluctuations you are seeing are pretty normal for just about anyone, due to the equations used to compute the scores.

When the crap starts really hitting the fan, a 100+ point drop is not uncommon (I lost about 300 pts) Once your BK goes on your record, I'd be suprised if you will have a score much higher than the low 600s.

My credit score went from 720 in January of this year to 430 about a month ago. Last I checked it was 460 (whoohooo). Granted, most of this drop was due to late payment hits I got right before I filed. My guess is my score will likely go up once my debts are discharged because my debt to income ratio will go down.

Everything I'm reading says that you'll have a bad credit score for about about a year, minimum. After this, if you work hard to establish a good credit record (i.e., get credit, use it, and pay it back consistently) you can expect a fairly good score within 24 months.

Ok So at the time of Filing I know equifax gave me a score of 643. They're showing me at 648 now since my bk. Transunion showing at 624.

I am seeing that I'm going to have some clean up to do in December after my discharge. Stuff that was in the BK is showing as 60 days late but Paid and closed.

                And side note...

it's not a free trial. I called to cancel and the lady wouldn't refund me. So I fibbed and told her I logged into the site and nothing loaded. lol
