Chase Says They Didn't Know...

that we were filing for Chapter 7. My wife got a call yesterday from Chase wanting money. We have four accounts with Chase that are supposed to be included in the BK. However, two of them were still showing balances on our credit reports that I pulled last week while the other two were showing IIB. So, I called them back and they had no idea that we were filing BK on those two accounts...was she kidding? I have to tell you...they are something else. Hopefully my credit score will go up in a week after they show IIB.

I did not talk to the creditors I just disputed the items on line. They were fixed with in a week after I disputed them.

your score might not go up becaue Chase still can report how late you were before the filing. Yes they have to report IIB and should show a $0 balance but if you were 90 days late they can still report that. 35% of the stupid credit score is payment history, plus not to mention the BK will drag it down.

For some odd reason, they are showing us as paying on time. Also, we filed at the beginning of September, so hopefully they will back date that. There shouldn't be anything past 60 days late. But of course, we all know how they like to report incorrect data. Fingers crossed.
