Am I dreaming? That almost seemed downright painless (ha--in hindsight, that is). We got rid of 2 expensive upside-down cars and financed 2 cheap ones just b4 our credit tanked, we re-affirmed on one, but not the other (no one contacted us from that credit union..) let the also expensive upside-down house go--we finally got the NOD the other day so that ball has started rolling, thank goodness, and we're renting a very nice place in the same community for much less. We refused to reaffirm on our furniture, and haven't heard a peep from American Furniture so far about taking it back. Good grief, after cleaning it over the weekend due to a PEE accident by my youngest, I thought, you can have it, wee wee and all...........
I'd like to say the stress is 100% gone, but can't quite say that as I'm still nervous overall about budgeting for the future, and I do get tinges of the *green-eyed monster* when I'm at my kids' school and hear the other moms talk about their new cars, timeshares, vacations, blah blah blah...but I looked at my husband last night and said HOLY COW, WE'RE DEBT FREE!!! (except for the cars, of course
It feels GOOD!! Thanks for all the great advice around here...what fabulous therapy this has been.
