we're hoping to get our 13 filed this week! We also get paid this week and I need to pay bills. in a 13, what happens to utilitie bills that we are behind on? Should I try to pay the back stuff or should I just pay what would be the current charges?

also, what about cell phones?

Unless you listed the outstanding balances in your BK, then you have to keep paying your utilities just as if you never filed. If you decide to include the outstanding balances, then the utility companies will reset the balance to zero, but they will demand a security deposit from you.

Cell phones are different, you pay, you keep. You put in BK, you get disconnected.
