Are we listing this right in our paperwork for CH13?

We have several unsecured CC's that are going into this BK. Some have gone into collections. Do I need to know which collection agency has which debts or can I just list the original debt and amount (i.e. Amex, $10,000 on 4/07?) I don't know what the actual amounts are because we haven't used a CC in almost 10 months and haven't received paperwork/statements since April/May of 07.

As long as you have the correct names and mailing addresses with an approximate amount owed, that will be fine. When the courts notify your lenders that you filed a 13, if they decide to file a claim (not all lenders do) they will send back exactly what they calculate you owe back to the court.

Do look at each and every claim figure closely when they start to show up on PACER and on your trustee's Ch 13 accounting website. If any totals owed are much higher than exepcted, then be sure to ask your lawyer to follow up.

In our case, our trustee's office made a clerical data entry error for one of our lenders when they set up our Ch 13 account stating that instead of owing one cc $1,220, we owed them $11,220! We told our lawyer immediately and he made sure the trustee's office corrected it right away.
