Can I stop the foreclosure?

I am filing chapter 7 soon.

We are in foreclosure (GA) with our house to go to auction on October 7, 2005

My husband is the only person on the mortgage, but at closing, I was put on the deed, so the deed is joint, but the mortgage is only in his name, and he isn't filing for bankruptcy.

Will my filing stop the foreclosure?

First off, do you want to stop the foreclosure? What are your intentions with the house?

I don't know GA law, so I really can't be of much help specifically, but if he is the only party on the Note, its at leaset 50/50 that the bankruptcy WILL NOT stop the foreclosure.

If your house is in foreclosure and your husband is the only one on the mortgage note, why isn't he filing BK with you?
