    Cutting spending is the responsible approach when you are hit by hard economic times, whether as an individual, business or government. Harvard no doubt will survive even as it has several other economic times, by doing what is right.

    It's odd that most of the colleges and universities are far more conservative with their policies than what they teach their students though, and that is probably the greatest failing of our nation.

      Maybe they should increase spending and give all the professors 1 million dollar bonuses...then ask Palosi for a bailout!
