Advanta called today and actually left a message

The gal asked for me and started I need to call them asap as my credit card payment is majorly delinquent.
Is that usual that they leave a detailed message on a business phone machine?
What if an employee picked it up or a client could hear the message. Neither could really happen but they dont know that
