Has anyone ever lien stripped a 2nd mortgage in LA California -CW

Good morning,

I am filing chapter 13 to lien strip a 73K 2nd mortgage with countrywide. I will submit 2 - 3 home value appraisals to the court to show that my property is upside down. Is 2 or 3 appraisals over kill?

I live in the Los Angeles area. Has anyone successfully lien stripped a 2nd through a chapter 13?

if my property drops another 10% then I will be able to lien strip my HELOC of 250k. I would get as much evidence as possible.2-3 appraisals is great, i would also go online to a home value site to get more comps.

when you are trying to lien strip get as much info as you can. Remember the bank will most likely challenge if you are boarder line.
