    Mad, mad, mad

Today my hubby and I were supposed to meet with an attorney to discuss us filing chapter 13. Would you believe she never showed up. The door was locked and no one answered the phone. All we got was her answering machine. We have decided to call another attorney and not deal with her.

You never know what might have been the reason...perhaps she had a family emergency or something else came up...maybe car trouble. Did you leave a message on her phone?

Stuff happens to all professionals, attorneys included, or she could have gotten held up at a deposition or in court or an emergency occurred. If she or her staff did not have a way to contact you (cell phone, etc.), then she could not tell you. If it is something blatant as having forgotten your appointment or her scheduler making the appointment and not advising her, then I suggest you seek other counsel. But give her the benefit of the doubt first...

Well, last night she did call us and told us that her daughter got sick at school and she left the office without picking up her cell phone. She appologized for not calling and that made us feel better. I know how it is when you have children. We will be giving her another chance.

I was laughing so hard at that. This is how I am getting about one of my doctors. she has had the form to fill out for insurance and had it for 2 weeks and has not as much as looked at it. I call every day for 2 weeks now and they keep telling me bull. A year ago she told me no problem about any forms for insurance.

It is a time sensitive form and they know this, but they do not care & I am going to be REAL mad (like going to jail mad) if I miss the deadline because I needed to do something on that form.

My insurance was bugging me already once before because they asked for records & it took her two months to send the records. They wanted ME to get them from her & send them.

At least your attorney has had the decency to give you a call back in 24 hours with a valid problem.

I am pleased with your decision. Stuff happens. Perhaps you may be rewarded with special consideration for this. God or Karma, says there is a reason to the season. You in time will be fine. 'Hub
