A question about income from a newbie

Hi all,

I did a search and did not find any info on this topic. I plan to file my petition for chapter 7 on Friday (12-19) I am well within the median income for filing for a single individual. I may be getting a part time seasonal job that will add a minimal amount to my overall income...less than $600. Will I need to amend my original petition? How would this work?

You say might?

I would not include it in your paperwork unless you get the first paycheck before filing. Also if it was me I'd wait til after the 341 to take on such a job. That way when the Trustee asks you at the 341 if there have been any changes you can say no. If there are changes like a new job, he may well ask for paystubs from it from date of filing to the 341 and could possibly force you to redo your schedules in accordance with totality of situation.
