Maybe the Chinese government should get the Chinese to but the cheap crap they produce.

Hopefully we will continue to stop buying junk from them.

When it comes to crap there are many views, lets take for example a Honda Goldwing and a Harley Davidson, same size everything, one cost for example $20,000.00 and the other $40,000.00, both give a wonderful ride, actually the Honda does not vibrate as much as the Harley at high speeds, one is U.S. made and the other is from overseas, now to the poor guy who cannot afford a Harley because it has out priced itself in his book the Honda is Perfect, for the guy who has everything money can buy the Honda is crap so he will buy a Harley because the money it cost does'nt have any effect on his pocket, I would love to own a Harley but the price is out of my reach so I got me a Harley Wanabe which cost me one third the price of the Harley and even runs better, see I don't work in the auto industry making seventy five dollars an hour, my pay is less per year than the cost of the above example. so what do you say to my crap....

labor-intensive industries making things like toys, shoes and clothing generate millions of jobs for its rapidly growing workforce.
odd how the labor intensive jobs never amount to anything these days. they do the most work & get nothing for it.

now they will get a good drift of how it was when these fools gave these jobs away 30 years ago to pay people 50 cents a week working 80 hours a week. That is what happens when one abuses the work force for ones own gain only, & does not share the crop with the workers who grew, maintained and harvested.

The global elitists political economic sceme is failing everywhere & people are going to get angry for being taken advantage of. It is amazing how fast things are falling apart.

Americans spending less money on toys made in China is only a small reason their toy sales are down. China has been plagued and plagued again this year with toys laden with lead, milk loaded with melamine, while I'm sure that our current econimic status isn't helping theirs, the blame is not soley on the US recession

I agree. I have been saying this on other posts when someone posts here "a business is failing","the world as we know it is coming to an end".

Some of the so called bad news would be happening no matter what the economic or political climate.

Some Chinese made products have poison, whether it's dog food or toys. Just wait until a baby dies in this country from consuming some Chinese made food product. That will be the end of their economy as we know it. I also hope this never happens either. I'd rather be wrong then say "I told you so" on this subject.

China has never been regulated like it should.

if the article is true and 9 out of 10 toys on the shelf are from china, people aint buying them in the USA and people aint buying them in china either because employees everywhere are making no money & are being thrown out of their homes. When you don't pay your employees much & hog it all for yourself year after year, the economy will die.

You cannot keep unfair trade agreements going & expect the world to thrive.
