Hi--- I believe we are (finally) officially in the foreclosure process..I have to admit I find the timelines confusing at best. We are in CA--does anyone know at what point in the whole deal do they physically "post" something on your door, and do they only do it once?

The timelines are had to determine because every county has a different case load to deal with. After the Sale, it could be anywhere from a month to three months, and maybe a little longer. I believe it's one notice to vacate. For this reason, I always advice the vacator to be moving out of the home on or about the date of the Sale..........and so what if the home sits vacate for a few months after the sale. The piece of mind that you've moved on and in a new place and won't have to deal with the eviction is worth it.

We too are now in the foreclosure process and they posted a notice of default on our garage on the 90th day (starting with when we quite making payments).
I don't know if this helps....
