2nd credit counseling session questions

Ok before I filed chapter 7, I completed an online credit management course, the 1st one out of the 2. Turned the certificate in to my lawyer, all is well.

I know that I have to do a "financial management" course now. But when?? I filed Dec 22, and my 341 meeting is on 1-29-09. Do I take the course now, or after my 341?

Also, how long does this course last? I heard it was 2 hours from a co-worker.

2 hours sounds about right.

Depends on your district really, in some you can do it before the 341, others after it. You have to complete it within I think 45 days of the 341.

My attorney told us that it must be completed within 45 days "after" the 341 and he advised the sooner the better. Ours also took about 2 hours online and then we had to call a number and answer a few questions and then the certificate was emailed to us. I then printed it out and dropped off at the law office.

I did my second class (the 2 hour one) before my 341. You just have to do the first one before filing and the second one after filing.

It has to be "after" filing, as they require the case number.

Its nothing really, when you are doing it you will see that for the most part everything that is there is something that you might know, its informative and full of common sence.
