Providing Info To Trustee During Plan

I am into the 11th month of my Chapter 13 plan. I have reviewed and re-reviewed the handbook which debtors get from the Trustee which outlines ongoing requirements and responsibilities. There is not a single word about having to provide further proofs of income or copies of tax returns in the handbook.
Lots of forum participants have stated, in various threads, that they are required to file copies of their tax returns during their BK 13 plans. I am wondering if this requirement is unique to individual cases due to circumstances, or if certain Trustees simply declare this to be a requirement for all the cases that they handle.

Ask your attorney directly as to what you need to do for your specific situation. Everyone's Chapter 13 is different (none are "cookie cutter") and things vary from district to district.

Not only do they vary by District, the terms of your Plan are in your Confirmation Order. The Confirmation order will include the specifics of what you are to do and not to do... well... at least in my District. :) The Trustee's guide didn't have that information.

Go to your trustee's website and research. Generally there is a link to the BK court in your district and there you should be able to find a section called "Local rules" See what it says. If all else fails, call the trustee's office and ask a staffer what the trustee's requirements are concerning tax returns and refunds.
