    Proactive

When I filed my chapter 13 in May, all my credit cards were closed. I had a reocrring payment for proactive. In July they sent me a shipment, but billed me in the shipment since the card was closed. With everything that was going on, I forgot about it. I mailed it back to them but apparently you only have 30 days to return it for your money back. They have now turned me over to collections for 57.90.

It's annoying. I am going to pay it, but I called them and gave them an ear full. I said, not only do I not have the prodcut, you sent me to collections. The lady in customer service said they would mail it back to me. Gee thanks.

I’m not sure of what proactive is, but, if you did not order it, or ask for it, you are not obliged to even return it. I found this many years ago with Columbia Record Club, and aemobious strip that you cannot get off of. They are into DVD’s and CD’s now of course. After cancelling them, I just either kept them or trashed them. They eventually go away. ‘Hub

Proactive is the acne treatment product you see starts like Jessica Simpson endorsing. I tried it and it didn't do much for me. If anything, I had more acne problems. Clean and Clear worked better for me in the long run.

I hate all these recurring charges for the infomercial products! All they want you to do is buy the product each and every month for the rest of your life!

I will NEVER again buy a product off an infomercial - just because of similar experiences that you are going thru right now. You know they received that product. You know they ignored your cancelation order. Not only would I complain to the company and expect a refund of the money - I would send a letter to the Attorney General and the BBB. These companies count on us, as consumers, to back down when they say "We did not get your product back." - Baloney! I know it is only $57 but, imagine the thousands of people per month that go through the same thing - it is a license to steal. The company's have to learn we as consumers are not going to put up with this BS anymore.

          Sorry, off soap box now.

Actually, I'm in my 30s and my acne has never gone away. My dad was in his 60s when he passed and he still had acne too. I don't think it ever goes away for everyone. Even hubby has his flare ups now and then.

I dont usually tell people this but you guys aren't my clients so its ok...This is really inexpensive. Go out and buy some Hydrogen peroxide. Use alittle on a cotton ball at night. If it tends to dry you out too much cut back. H.P. when put on the skin turns into oxygen and acne cant live in an oxygen enviorment...Hope this helps..One of my best acne creams has the active ingred as HP....Try it and let me know how it works for you.

I'm in my 30's as well. Always had skin problems. I kept hoping that turning 30 would finaly give me some freedom. Nope.

I just can't believe the amount of work they go through to collect $57.

I just went ahead and paid it. It's too little an amount of money to fight over. I'll try and sell the proactive on ebay.
