    Clock starts ticking ?

Hi All - keep finding conflicting info - does the clock start when you file or when you are discharged in a 13? - Clock for the time limits which seems to be 10 years but some say 7?

From the actual discharge date, and I'm guessing your talking about a credit report.

I have read conflicting information as well, but from what I understand, a Chapter 13 can only be on your credit report for 7 years. But you may have to dispute this with the three credit reporting agencies.

For a Chapter 13 it will stay on your credit reports for 7 years from the date of filing; 10 years for a Chapter 7.
