    Has anyone?

had success in modifying your loan either while in the Ch.13 or after converting to a Ch.7?

If so, what steps did you take or what was the process after submitting the paperwork requested by the mortgage company and what dept in the company handled the modification?

How long did it take before you recieved approval?

Yes, I have handled quite a few modifications on mortgages. The problem is that every mortgage company is different and every loan is different within that mortgage company. Without getting into specifics, your loan may be serviced by one mortgage company but owned by another, so the rules that apply to you, don't apply to the loan right next to you. The easiest way to answer your question is call your mortgage company and speak with the Loss Mitigation department. Let them know what you are looking for and they will send you a workout packet(lately they are now on the website and you can download them) fill the packet out and send it back. It is generally 30 days for a response.

    Good Luck

Yes, this I am aware of, but was more looking to hear from those who have actually gotten their loans modified and some info on how long it took, etc. I know how to go about requesting a modification and that it varies, but wanted to hear actual instances of what particular people have experienced in practice with their own individual circumstances.
