As I've posted before, I'm possibly the hugest SM hater around.

Well - after reviewing my CR's I noticed they were reporting a delinquency from way back when.

I called them about it and they said, as a curtesy, they'd issue a retraction on it. (which they should because they've made a shitload of money off of me).

They even sent me a ltr confirming their promise which I received today!

I'm still in shock. I guess their PR has been so bad in the past, they are trying hard to improve their reputation.

Glad to hear that SallieMae is at least trying - that's a huge improvement over the absolute he** they've put far too many of their debtors through over the last ten years. Hope everything works out exactly as they promised, danaf!

Congratulations on getting SM to do what they promised, by no means an easy feat. Now you have it in writing if it should mysteriously reappear later...:dry:
