Pulling credit reports is like pulling teeth...

At least for me it is...drives me nuts. There's always a ton of things wrong on all 3, at least one I can't pull up at all (says some "security" reason that my info doesn't match and I have to fill out a form, send them proof of who I am, yada yada...) tons of little errors and I never know which ones to really fight or let go. The whole system is just so stinky and unfair. That's it, just felt like complaining...

What really irritates me is that as a last task you have to type in something that is shown with small and cap letters and numbers mixed up and hard to figure out if those letters are actually in small letters or cap letters.
Since you are already required to start out with your exact personal information why TF do you have to do that??

OHMYGOSH--so true about the security crud!! I failed the first one just for the reasons you mention, I couldn't even tell what the stinkin' letters were!! And yes, you've already answered everything about yourself, including the obscure questions from your report itself "on about May of 2005 you opened an auto loan xxxx"....good grief, I can barely remember May of 2008, let alone years ago!

And what REALLY gripes me is how they have the nerve now to charge us for not ONE but THREE "true FICO" scores, each credit bureau having their individual FICO scores!
Also, the whole credit bureau thing is a big scam - just a way to make $ off consumers. Why not have just ONE credit bureau? Why do we have to have three? That just makes it harder to keep track of and harder to repair their mistakes by disputes (and of course more costly). The whole credit industry is one big scam.

That is one big reason why I actually feel GOOD about having filed Ch 7 bankruptcy last year! The interest rates they charged as soon as I missed a couple payments, the way they harrassed and hounded me, their lack of cooperation, their stupid fees for being not one day but one MINUTE late... I could go on... This whole industry is a real effin rip off!!!

I now have a 659 credit score but I think it should be even better. I was discharged a year ago and have only 4 open accounts, only minimal debt on two of those, and only 6 derogatory (included in bankruptcy/late) accounts vs. about 15 positive accounts. Yet I have only a frickin' 659...

I'm just blowin' off steam, too... Thanks for the thread!
