I live in michigan. I haven't made a house payment in about 5 months. When or will I recieve something in the mail telling me when I have to be out by? I dont want someonw throwing my stuff out the door while I am at work. Thanks in advanceHave you received a Notice of Default (NOD) yet? If not, there's a process and you haven't even begun the process yet.

After your NOD, then you'll get served papers for the foreclosure. The time between the NOD and being served is so subjective. It depends on the lender and how quickly they are pushing paperwork.

After you get served it can take 60+ days for the foreclosure process to run through (and I think that's for a non-judicial foreclosure).

You will have ample notice before someone throws you out. As a last ditch effort, after foreclosure, and after notice, they'd have to evict you just like anyone else. If you don't move out after the write of eviction ... THEN the Sheriff will come and move you and your stuff onto the sidewalk. :)
