Saw lawyer today. Had everything ready before ever talking to him. Gave him all my income info, credit reports, bills, expenses, and inventory. Paid him 500.00, still owe 309.00. Will pay that next week. They are typing it up and it will be ready by Monday (hooray). Can't wait for this to be over, even though my stomach is in knots.........

I do feel relieved.
My only worry was if I filed on any of my little girls doctor bills, if the hospitals or doctors could refuse service. Since she had cancer, the bills mounted quickly. I ended up with only about $3200.00 in medical bills, which I guess really is not bad considering she had over a year of inpatient chemo visits and many 2-3 week hospital stays.
I wanted to get my stuff all cleaned up though before I get a pay raise this year.
I was so close with just my income and 2 little girls to support of not being able to do Chapter 7. I was only showing $2400.00 a month (i am a contractor, so I pay my own taxes). Of course 511.00 of that is my little one's SSI, so I think that is crazy that they even count that since I have to show at the end of the year, that I am using the money for her expenses, needs, etc., but hey everyone knows how that goes.
