I am wading through a lot of old threads but have a couple of questions. It has been a year since we filed.. First of all I signed up with True Credit to view my husbands credit report. Is this an accurate way to look at his credit report? Can't get the free one for another month or so and I wanted to see what was there. NOBODY has reported anything since before the discharge - The CC's that were discharged all say "derogatory" for condition - not closed or open and for pay status they say "late". But none has reported anything since before the discharge. The only one that really worries me is our mortgage which we reaffirmed and stayed current on through teh whole BK- Experian shows it as "collection charged off" starting the month we filed the BK through the month of discharge and nothing since.. Do I contact Experian about this? We don't plan to apply for any credit for a long time so should I even bother with it? The only other open credit we have is the car loan which we (foolishly) reaffirmed. We were reported as 30 days late even though they received our payment on the 29th day late. This was in the same month we got our discharge. They also have reported nothing since then. I just don't have it in me to do a lot of fighting so I want to worry about the stuff that matter most. Thanks in advance for any help.

Your accounts discharged in your BK should be indicated as included or discharged in bankruptcy. You will need to dispute those items. As to your mortgage, since it was actually part of your BK they may just change that to being included in your BK, no late payments, etc. However, since you continued your payments and were not late, it is possible they may, after you dispute the situation, list it normally as being current and no lates. Depends on your mortgagor._________________________________________

They cant report the mortgage as included in the BK if I signed a reaffirmation can they? My mortgage was NOT discharged.
As for the CC's they have not reported anything since they reported them late almost a year ago. Does that seem strange to anyone - or once you file do they stop reporting and them you have to bug them to update it? And does anyone know if I have to go back to the credit card companies to dispute?! If so I am tempted to leave it alone - I can't stand the thought of spending time on the phone with all of them again! It states on the credit report that we filed and were discharged and give s the dates so does it even matterhow they are reporting?
