I just finished reviewing my filing packet with all my schedules A thru Z. Everything looks in order. Phone conference with lawyer is less than 48 hours from now, and filing date is scheduled for next Monday. Phone is pretty much ringing non stop at this point........I unplug it to get some sleep.

Just wondering if there is any advice from the wise ones here that I should look out for? I feel as if I made a good selection in an attorney, it is a firm that does nothing but bankruptcys. Seem to be very competent and professional.

If all goes well I will come out of this in pretty good shape!

I'm glad you're almost there. It's such a relief to get it filed. Why don't you give the collectors your attorney's name and number. That will get the calls to stop for you.

I do plan on doing just that with my creditors. The only thing I am waiting for at this point is till Monday when I get filed, so I can give them a case number. Thus eliminating any doubt.....

When we were a week or so away from filing, I started giving creditors my attorney's name and phone number. None of them even asked for a case number. I think only one asked if I have filed yet, I told them no, next week. Some of them even wished me luck and the phone stopped ringing. I would go ahead and give them the attny info and plug that phone back in and enjoy your weekend

Question, why would you wait to give them your attorneys phone number, and just sit there and be harrassed constantly?

I told my creditors that I was filing BK back in May, they took my attorney's info and haven't bothered me since...I am still not filed.
