At my 341 meeting, when the trustee asked me if I would be getting a refund I said no, but now after entering my information in Turbotax, it says I am entitled to a refund from my state, something called "recovery rebate". Will I get in trouble for this with the trustee? I had no idea I would be able to receive this refund.

You answered truthfully that you were not expecting a refund.
However, I would contact your attorney and let them know that you are actually now entitled to one and get their suggestions as to how to handle it with the Trustee.Filed CH 7 9/30/2008

Did you use up all of your exemptions in your petition? Please review your petition carefully. If you have left over exemptions hopefully it will cover the amount you are getting back on the unexpected refund.
If the legal aid office is not going to help you, you may want to contact the Trustee's office directly. Wait until one of the others come on here that is familiar with State refunds and filings (we don't have a state tax in Fl - so I am not familiar).
IMHO, I would contact the Trustee's office and let them know that you recieved this unexpected refund and ask them what to do. Worst case senerio, the Trustee gets the refund you did not know you were getting back anyway.Filed CH 7 9/30/2008
