I am doing my 2008 because I have earned more than $400 in self employment for this year as a virtual assistant, which is for approximately$1300. However, according to income filing requirements I do not have to file for 2007. I have no earned income for 2007 and 1 1099INT for my saving account for $37.44. I had child support and some savings left at the time. The tax preparer said that I did not have to file for 2007. She said that she would type up a brief letter stating that and get it notarized. I spoke with an attorney and she said that would be best. I am Los Angeles, California and am filing pro se.
I have $50,000 dollars in credit card and medical debt, no assets, no property, no car, no business. I am renting, and have a checking, savings, with minimum amounts. I have an Ameritrade account and Roth. My Ameritrade has $31.00 and Roth has zero dollars. The rest is what is in my house such as clothing, minimal furniture, my daughter's toys, My daughter's TV, my TV, DVD player, 2004 computer from Gateway What do you think? Any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks.
