Got a call from a creditor today @ work!!

One of my creditors discharged in my chapter 7, called me today at work!! Actually it was a debt collector for them, but I filed 12-22 and had my 341 on 1-29-09.

I told why are you calling me at work?! this has been discharged in chapter 7 bk that I filed on 12-22-08!

She then acted like I was lying to her. I then gave her my case #, lawyers name and #. She gave me her name, company, address and phone # "in case I have to be contacting them in the future".

Geesh. What can I do about this? I told her not to contact me again, that it was a violation.

Tell your attorney. They will send a letter about the violation. Keep track - if they continue to violate the automatic stay and then the discharge injunction it could mean $$ for you and sanctions from the court for the CA!
