Chicago Area- How long between Filing and 341

We are filing in Northern Ill. District. Does anyone know how long it takes between filing and the 341 meeting? Also, what exactly is happening after the 341 meeting. What is the trustee doing with your case if anything or are they waiting for objections? In the 341 meeting does the trustee normally ask for the most recent pay stub or is the information that your lawyer provided filing enough?

THANKS Everyone for all the feedback.

I am not from that area - But usually its anywhere from 3 weeks to 5 weeks from the day of filing to your 341. The attorney will request the information that he think the trustee in your district will ask for. If any additional information is needed you will be contacted by the trustee or the attorney. Our trustee did not require a current paystub, because the BK is based on a snapshot of the day you file.

The 60 day wait period between the 341 and discharge is there for any creditors that were listed in the BK to object to. Also, if the trustee or UST needs to investigate any of your information they have the 60 days.

As for mine, the UST trustee stepped in and my 60 days has not become 150 days. The UST extended my day of discharge for reasons, well if you look for threads under my name it will show the PROBLEMS that we are having...

I hope that answered some of the questions. There are alot of knowledgeable people on here, hopefully someone from your area can give you more information then I did.

    Goodluck.
