The attorney from legal aid told me I don't have to wait 60 days to get discharged, he said it should be happening soon since it's no-asset. That's good to hear, but I thought you had to wait 60 days. Does he know what he's talking about?

When you filed you would have received a letter from the United States Bankruptcy Court titled: Notice of Chaper 7 Bankruptcy Case, Meeting of Creditors, and Deadlines. On this letter is all of your required dates for the 341 and the deadline to file a complaint objecting to discharge of the debtor or to determine dischargeability of certain debts by a certain date. That date is usually 60 days from the original 341 meeting. Check that date.
If all goes smoothly you are discharged around that date and closed sometime thereafter. Refer to what is given to you in writing by the BK court.Filed CH 7 9/30/2008
Discharged Jan 5, 2009! Closed Jan 18, 2009
