Just called my lawyer to see when he files my ch. 7. I guess my case is going to be with one asset...my 2000 4Runner SUV? My mother helped me pay some of my bills (like $500) which I made a copy of the check & will have the money orders attached. Here is the situation at the present...I currently pay $275/mo child support to my Xhusband (here in Florida). He makes $16k a month and my gross is $1,920....with my takehome at $1,500/month. Currently, because of MOLD...my children are allergic...I can't take them to movie theaters (because of mold), I can't have them over my house (he says when my boys came over, they got sick due to mold), joint custody doesn't seem to really be working as I'm being told what where and how to do everything...at my income, I'm not making it without help from my mother. I'm wondering if I can ask the courts to either lower my payment or dismiss it due to the way things currently stand...I don't want to give up custody due to bankruptcy...but was wondering if anyone had been through anything like this during a bankruptcy....it's very hard to do anything with my kids that my X doesn't scream "mold"...and he makes over $200K a year...why the heck am I paying and paying for being told how to still do everything...we've been divorced five years. My alimony stopped last year but I've still got him hounding me...Any thoughts on this?

If you have joint custody, why are you paying support????
If you have been divorced 5 years ??? WHY ARE YOU PUTTING UP WITH HIS "SHIT".............
If you have a serious "mold" problem - you need to find somewhere else to live - for your health also......

Do you know your home has mold...the reason I ask is you also state that the Movie Theater has mold. This sounds like custody BS to me. Maybe your kids are hyper-senstivie, but it sounds more like a ploy.

I currently pay $275 per month for child support. He is the custodial parent and so the kids live with him. I was told under Florida law that with joint custody I have to pay child support? My X's house (that we built together 10 years ago) was under mold remediation twice, x had to go to a mold doctor because he got chronic fatigue, kids were tested for mold, they were diagnosed properly...bottom line is some people are more succeptable to it than others...there's mold everywhere, but this is creeping into my being able to take my sons anywhere...I don't know why I'm paying child support when I'm not having any say and don't know how to dispute this...plus I'll be filing my ch.7 very shortly...Filed Oct 2005discharged February 2007,Shapeless in the fire's glow, tell me if you think you know,
