Ok, After a long two months and issues with the trustee wanting statements for a year, tax returns for 3 years, and many other requests we have managed to make it to day 61 from our 341.
Our lawyer who wanted to settle with some of our creditors regarding some business charges and balance transfers, Two creditors were threatening objections if we did not work out a settlement. From day 1 I said I would not settle and the creditors had scheduled 2004 examinations with us.
The lawyer somehow got them to put off the examinations and stall them. During this time they were willing to settle for around 25% but I still said no and told the lawyer I would fight them all the way even though it could get costly.
Two weeks ago my lawyer asked my permission to contact the creditors to see where they stood. I told the lawyer NOT to call them and take a gamble that they were busy and were maybe not realizing that we were coming up on the 60 day mark.
Well today is 61 days and the date for objections has passed last midnight. Do I still have to be concered with these creditors? Or have they legally lost their chance to come after us since they now missed the deadline for objections?
