If you aren't a criminal or sex-offender don't worry.
Don't tell the condo commandos that you have filed. Ask the owner to keep this confidential. As a landlord myself, I have dealt with those "commandos" way too many times. Those busy-bodies NEED to get a life.
I was sick of this lady picking on my tenant because she was Hispanic and pregnant. I wrote a 3-page letter detailing what I thought of this busy-body, quoted all the laws she was violating from the Nevada Fair Housing Authority, and mailed it each and every homeowner in the complex.
Since we are surrendering this condo, we have let our tenant stay there since October rent-free!Chapter 7 filed 10/21/2008
341 - 11/26 went smooth
NO ASSET
Took 115 days after 341 - But Finally DISCHARGED 3/25/09

HOA are noted as little people with big egos and power to harm another is their goal. I would kindly explain to whomever, that your private life and financial life is not their business. If they cannot understand that, tell them to sue you. LOL as you are in bk, not possible. They would not anyway but if they cause you any problems as telling another person, that is “invasion of privacy” near to slander, and you could state you will sue that person as well as the HOA as a whole. They will shut up. ‘HubIf I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.
