    Exemptions for spouses in NC

My wife and I will file pro se nest week if not sooner. We have met with 2 attorneys but have trouble coming up with their fees. Anyway, I found the exeptions for my state, but there is no mention of double exemptions except for homestead. Am I missing something or do the car and others double as well?

    Thanks

I read somewhere where each state is different in regards to "doubling up" and some states only allow doubling up on certain things. I know the form7 software has been great at helping me list all my exemptions, I highly recommend it if you're going to file pro se. www.form7.com

My husband and I filed in nc. We used Cameron law, she is extremely reasonable and worth 100 times as much, she practices all over NC. I promise you I can't say enough good stuff about her. (she is also the best hand holder around. I think for the house it was $20,000 and for each car (2) was $1500 each. Her webpage is the best and can answer about 99% of your questions and you can email questions to her, she is pretty prompt. Her husband is the paralegal. Good luck.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....
