I haven't had a chance to pose this question to my lawyer yet. But, I recently had to file a chapter 13. I had fallen behind on everything after fighting a long illness. Now I am back to work. I have a question though. The meeting of creditors, pertaining to my case, is coming up on the 7th of December. My wife and I spoke about it and decided to sell our home, so we may discharge this bankruptcy as soon as possible (I filed, my wife did not.)
My Question is: We have managed to sell our home very quickly and should be closing before the 30th of this month. If I knew that I could sell this quickly, I would never have filed, but anyway. How will all this affect my filing if I discharge prior to the meeting of creditors?
Thanks for your Time
