I just got a bill in the mail from one of my creditors dated two days after my discharge. I called them and told them I filed BK and the rep told me that they didnt recieve a letter saying that I filed. I just checked pacer and that company was on the mailing list, so they did get a letter sent to them saying that I filed. What should I do? Isnt that illegal?????

Call them back, give them a caopy of the case number and the date pacer shows them being notified. Take down that person's name, company name, address and tell them not to call you anymore. About 6-8 weeks after discharge order a copy of your credit report and make sure that everything is updated accordingly. There are also some copies of letter that you can use on this website also.

I didnt see a date on pacer I just saw the companys address on pacers mailing list and some where else on pacer. When I called I left a message on the bk department voicemail but i didnt get a call back yet.
