Notice of Proceeding returned to sender

What is the name of your state? Oregon

I filed Chapter 7 a couple weeks ago and have now received 2 different "notice of proceeding" letters that were returned to me (rather than the bankruptcy court) by the US post office.

One of these was sent to Nextcard, which I now know was taken over by the FDIC, and filed bankruptcy themselves in 2002.

The other was sent to "AT&T Universal card", and was "returned to sender", but did not list a reason why it was returned. On something I read, it appeared to me at one time that Citibank was handling their accounts, but I am not 100% sure about this. I listed Citibank on my creditors matrix, so I assume Citibank received notice independently (I had a Citibank card too), as did a collection agency that sent me a notice of the account at one time.

Do I have to do anything with these notices? DO I have to send a notice to the FDIC? The bankruptcy court?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It probably won't matter.

The reason it was returned to you is becaus I imagined you filed Pro Se, correct. The 341 notices get sent out using the return address of the filer (usually the attorney if you have one, but if not, than your address).

Although its not imperitive that you do anything, having them returned means there was some problem with the address you listed for these creditors in your petition. If you want to, you can research a better address and mail the 341 notice yourself, (then file a certificate of mailing with the court saying you did so).
