Started Cleaning up Report

Well I filed BK on August 4, 2005, had my 341 on September 14, 2005, and now just waiting on discharge. I figured in the meantime I would start looking at my credit report. I pulled it on September 9th or so, from all three agencies, and well there were a lot of things wrong. So I decided to go the route, dispute everything even remotely (misspellings and all) wrong. I proceeded to do this, and lo and behold the first one of my investigations came back today from transunion and my credit report went from 16 to 9 pages. 3/4 of my adverse reports were deleted due to inaccuracies and they were not able to substantiate them (even though most of them were for the most part correct), they just deleted them completely. Even two judgements were deleted because they had the wrong docket # on my report, they were deleted because they could not be verified. I am absolutely shocked! Its amazing, I would never have thought to dispute spelling mistakes and incorrect balances, or docket numbers being incorrect. I have to now go back and dispute a few more things but its looks pretty good right now.

Makes me wonder just how many people are out in the world with their reports holding them down and desperate?

I know, was talking to my cousin this afternoon and she said she just got her credit report for the first time, and there was a whole bunch of stuff on there that she had never heard of. I said dispute and she was like I can do that?

Minera-youa re soooo lucky, I started the dispute today, I hope it works for me.

well I have since filed another dispute on the remaining things. I actually called them up on one thing, and they fixed it after I had the creditor call them and tell them it was included in my BK, so they immediately changed it. I cannot believe the dramatic effect it has had on my credit score. Over 50 points in a couple days.
