    Keeping my car after discharge

I converted from a 13 to a 7. Discharge from the chapter 7 was in December 2008. My car loan was through Capital one. I was informed by the acceptance company that I could continue to pay on the car after my discharge. The acceptance company maintained my payments while I was in Chap. 13. I called capital one to ask for a lower interest payment. Imagine my surprise when I was informed I was 226 days late on my payments. It seems the trustee in chap 13 does not make full payments to all of the debtors. Now I am being told to come up with $4,000.00 or surrender the vehicle. My credit score is so low I cannot get another vehicle. Also, I have no money for a down payment. Do I have another recourse to take I have been making payments but I am afraid they will come and get the car. ADVICE PLEASE!!!!

OK, let your pride go. Keep the car as long as you can. That kind of money is not on trees but there is a glut of used cars out there. Even if they are these pay by week jerks, you would be better off. After all, if you left it on the side of the road, who cares your credit is toast now.

Purchase for cash a nice $1500 car. We did and it was a great car and everything worked. We also got one for $800, $200 into battery, tires oil and plugs. After three years running like a top. Looks like junk but it works. 'Hub
