bad relationships - bet you had one!

seems that i have a glue like attraction to difficult relationships. i realized that i actually attract this kind of relationships actually. it is not something rational, my therapist told me it might be connected to not having enough selfesteem. but i have been in a few abusive relationship that really ended ugly. on the last guy i have a court order not to come close to my house, that's how bad it was.
anyway, i am working on these issues right now. realized that whatever i would do, i keep repeating some patterns. and that's not funny. right now i am getting online counseling. don't laugh, it actually works. put me back on track, deal with my feelings of unworthiness.
the lady from XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.therapy-counseling.net [/URL] was actually very cool and i got a lot of insight right from the first session.
anyway, i wish you all strength to stop repetitive bad relationships..you know what i mean....
    god bless

it could just be luck of the draw!.....i havent been having a whole lot of luck myself, but a lot of that is probably my age... when people get older, they have baggage and are set in their ways..

i dont buy the "self-esteem" stuff... thats one of those "new age" trendy" oprah things, that psychologist use to explain everything.... sort of like the "mid-life crisis" stuff.. S--- happens... you can probably tell, that my dad was a psychiatrist..

I think "Andy" is trolling and the post needs to be deleted.

well, Andy is not trolling and i do not think that the self esteem thing is a new age opra-ish kind of stuff. just some of you are real cynical out there, and you think you know it and have it all.
but others, like me, really need to work on self esteem. maybe your's is as high as the sky, but don't make me feel bad because i am not skeptical and cynical.

you ask for opinions and when its not what you want to hear, you get defensive....

sort of like the men and women who go to the "date a convict" websites and cant understand why they got abused...

20 years ago everything was blamed on mid-life crisis and PMS and now it self-esteem and hugs...

im not being critical, but a some of these counselors are more screwed up than their patients...
