DV letter from Florida Default Law Group

I received a letter via the mail yesterday byt FLORIDA DEFAULT LAW GROUP PI, asking for the total due on my first mortgage with IndyMac (my old home I have been trying to sell since 2006). They say I have 30 days to notify them as to the validity of the debt.

I have not paid for this mortgage since my Dec 2007 payment. A HELOC has already been charged off on this same property. I have tried two short sales but I cannot get the collection agency HELOC to release.

Should I respond to this or just wait for the "real" foreclosure summons to be served before responding?

Admit to nothing. Do not contact them. If you are represented, get advice from your lawyer, of course. Wait for a summons, but by all means, do answer that, but attempt to make it ambiguious and prolong a suit. 'Hub

Florida Default Law Group is one of the "big attorney's" handling a large percentage of the foreclosures all over Florida. They take forever to foreclose - are you still in your property?
      Filed CH 7 9/30/2008
      Discharged Jan 5, 2009! Closed Jan 18, 2009

I am not an attorney. None of my advice is legal advice in any way..

I am not in this property.

I live down the street from it and I take care of it. Never rented it. I have tried to get rid of it without any luck.

I will not respond to the letter then. My attorney wants $350 to respond to a foreclosure summons.

I will respond when one gets delivered by the process server.
