Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this claim (mortgage arrearage)of my BK summary on 13datacenter:
claim amount: $16,599.26
principal paid: $759.66
interest paid: $1,308.01
Sched amount: $215,078.80
principal owed: $15,839.60
monthly pay: $730.46
interest rate: 7.9%
Spank me on the hand for only noticing this a year later.
the claim amount is correct, that's the amount I was behind in my mortgage. What I don't understand is the interest paid part. This looks like the trustee is adding the interest rate of my mortgage loan and applying it to the arrears. Is this kosher? Or is it 13datacenter mumbo jumbo? My lawyer is takin a bit to get back to me on this.
Has anyone else seen this who has arrearage in their plan? based on those numbers the claim amount would never be paid within the term of the plan.
