    Post confirmation credit counseling requirement?

Hi....I originally started as a 7, and needed to complete the couseling session and get a certificate prior to filing. I know that normally, after a 7 discharge, a subsequent counseling session is required.

I then converted to a 13....do I still need to obtain the proof of counseling? There is no mention in my confirmation order, nor did my atty. mention it.

    Thanks.

You got it wrong, brother. You need that document BEFORE a discharge. Costs about $35 bucks for both if married, and is very good, informative and interesting. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

Hi Hub....I'm referring as to whether it's required after a confirmation in a 13? I don't recall anyone posting about this subject...anyone have to get a counseling certificate after their confirmation in a 13?

      Thanks,

I just figured it out....it's called debtor education...this is what is required AFTER the 341hearing....and in my case I guess post confirmation? Off I go...looks like it requires 2 hours when you do it online.

        Thanks

You will need both the pre filing certificate, and to receive your Ch.13 discharge, you will need the secondary course certificate, cant remember what it is called.
