Well, I got a phone today and this lady on the other end said she was a "lien officer" and that if we didnt surrender the vehicle, she'd get right down to the court and file a motion to have me arrested. I pulled the car over, told her I was getting something to write down her name and I hopped out of the car and called my attorney. To make a long story short, we just filed an emergency BK and got an automatic stay. The big issue was the funds I used to pay today, came out like a credit at my bank and technically our balance showed $1800 at the time of filing. UGH But, so we may just have to pay an extra $20 or $30 a month for the duration of our plan. Atleast we aren't forced to be without a vehicle for the next month or two. I am now waiting for this repo guy to rear his ugly head in the next 24 hours so I can hand him a copy of our BK filing! I do feel a sense of relief!

Yeah, so I gave Chrysler my case number when they called tonight. The gal was real nice. Then 20 minutes later another collector calls and starts in on this crap about them calling my attorney office today and how they couldn't verify my BK and blah blah blah. She called at 3 minutes to 9pm. I got real loud with her! I told her we filed emergency and she went on about how could we do that if the courts were closed. I told her obviously she doesnt know how things really work and that the attorney's can file up unitl midnight through the electronic system. I asked her what on earth can I help her with at 9 pm at night, then I told her to call my attorney first thing in the morning! Funny, she got real sarcastic and said "Have a great night, thank you!" Ugh! My attorney is gonna love this, he also said he's been known to go after these people for harrassing his clients. I really like this guy! Im so glad I retained him when I did!Comment
