I thought that the 341 meeting was supposed to be about 30 days after filing... I just received the notice of my 341 meeting, and it's exactly 7 weeks from the date I filed. Is this unusual? I'm trying to keep in mind the fact that there's a rush of people filing now, but still, 7 weeks seems like a long time. Does this mean there's a problem?

I believe, and I could be wrong, that your 341 has to take place no sooner then 30 days from filing. The bankruptcy courts are most likely backed up do to the rush of people filing before the new law goes into place. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I doubt there is a problem. It is the last minute before the new law, keep that in mind. But if you feel better, call the clerk and I am sure that she will tell you they are backed up.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....
