    Changing Jobs during Bankruptcy

Just wondering...is it possible to change jobs while you're in the middle of a Chapter 13? What if there is a pay cut involved? Our payment would still be paid each month with no problem...just wondering if anyone knew for sure or not. Thanks.

Sure you can change jobs during a Chapter 13. You will need to advise your attorney. But be prepared to explain why you would leave your present job to take a lower paying job if the lower pay affects your ability, now or later, to make any payments of any kind (mortgage, utilities, Plan payment, etc.) during your Plan.

I'm not worried about making the payments. It's more a necessity with the economy in our area and my place of employment is more than likely going to be cutting jobs soon. It's about leaving and having a monthly paycheck and health insurance compared to drawing unemployment and trying to find a job further down the line.
