Another reaffirm auto question

Can we... mark on our paperwork that we will surrender our vehicle but continue to make payments on it without having to reaffirm. I thought I read posts about this situation on the boards, I asked my attorney and he said if you mark no then you must return the vehicle, but if I just keep making the payments will that matter? Its a local credit union.

The way that you can do what you are talking about is the select the reaffirmation option on your petition. Then don't actually sign or file the reaffirmation agreement, just continue to make your payments on time. If you select the surrender option on your petition, then you do have to surrender the vehicle.
