No Asset on Pacer on day of filing?

    Hello Everyone,

Signed our paperwork earlier in the week, and the lawyer got it filed today. I look it up on pacer, and it says No Asset. I thought this was only determined after the 341 meeting.

Is this just the automatic default value, or has someone given it a quick read and entered in a yes/no right after it is filed? My 341 isn't until 11/18/05, and the stress is already getting to me...

    Thanks again!

Please, everyone today is on stress overload. (I know, I felt the same way)
Each district does things differently. I doubt this is indictive of a problem. Could mean that you have only unsecured debt you are filing on and that the assests you are keeping are exempt.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

There is a place on the cover sheet where you mark whether or not you expect there to be assets. They may go by that initially I suppose, then update later if necessary.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

That is exactly right. After the 341 meeting, the trustee files a report indicating whether he thinks you case is an asset or no asset case.
