Career derailed

Ok, my 341 is over so all I can do is wait and hope for the best. Now I'm looking around and realizing that all my concern over the bk has diverted my attention from the fact that I've been unemployed since October.

I guess it helped that my income was so low that the Ch. 7 means test was a breeze, but wow, I need to get back to making some actual money.

I have an MBA and 20 years of experience, and I can't even seem to get an interview for a Marketing job right now. I don't know what to do with myself, I can't figure out what other careers might be good fits, or a way to find "the job I would love".

Anybody have some insights?

The market is hard right now.

It might be better if seeking employment in another field to downplay your qualifications. Say you go to Wal Mart or someplace, but depending where you are might not be any jobs. I think there are less than a dozen listed around here through Job Service and those are mostly christmas tree work.

Keep hitting the pavement and take what you can get until the economy improves.
