Met with the third and final attorney and am very pleased with the speed in which he got things moving. The first tried to get us into 7 and we didn't qualify. He doesn't do 13. The second got me so confused with income calculations that we stopped the filing. This one is on the ball! Our 341 is on August 18 and the confirmation is on September 22. Our first Plan payment is $1056 with a 60% payback and due befor the 341. People shop around and find a good attorney you feel comfortable with. This is going to make the next five years a little more bareable.

Good for you that you didn't settle, andy!

Retaining the right lawyer to file a 13 is absolutely crucial to ensure living with your plan for five long years is bearable. Writing a good Ch 13 plan is much more an art than a science.

So glad you found someone you think will do a great job representing your interests.
