Sallie Mae, Discharge.. things that are making me mad

OK so I had a sallie Mae Student loan in disbursement when filing C7. They won't make my final disbursement to school until I get my discharge papers.... Despite the fact that it is not dischargeable and I have a co signer.... PS their call center is in India and it has been hard for me to get an answer from them....

I just found out from my Attys office that it is taking 4-6 months from date of file to get dischaged. Yesterday would have been 90 days from filing, 60 days from 341. I am in Florida.

Oh and after my 341 my cedit union who i have a line of credit and auto loan through (turning in truck) they called and said they didnt even know I filled BK when I told them thats why I wasn't going to pay....

So now I have to figure out how to pay for school and keep paying insurance on my truck until they decide they want to come get it.

Just wanted to share the mess I am in still.... But the good news is my filing and 341 wern't too bad though the trustee ripped a new one in the couple before me. He basically asked me why I was in school and when I would be done and why I had two vehicles (mom cosigned on used car in dec prior to filing so I could have a reliable non upside down non gas guzzler to drive to school).

Call up the truck lender and ask for the bankruptcy department. Ask where you can drop off the vehicle, cancel the insurance after dropping it off on their property and turning the keys over to them, you don't have to wait for them to come get it.

You might call your schools admin office and explain the situation see if they will allow you to start and accept payment after your discharge.

Well I tried to call the bank several times. The thing is that I moved to Florida and it is a Maryland credit union. They dont want to pay to transport the vehicle back to Maryland. I guess in theory I could take it to them, but between my time and 15 MPG for a 20 hour trip it's not worth it to me.....

After discharge check the laws for an abandoned vehicle in your state.

If they abandon their interest in the vehicle it might be possible to get a salvage/junk title for it
